Let's go back to 2020 for a second.
The world shut down. We stayed inside. We worked from home, ate at home, watched everything at home. We learned to make sourdough. We named our houseplants. We had ONE friend we talked to on FaceTime and that was apparently enough.
And then the world opened back up.
And nobody really knew how to do this part.
We forgot how to socialize. We forgot how to make new friends. We forgot how to be the one who says hi first. The version of us that used to walk up to strangers at parties and start conversations? She's gone now. We left her in 2020.
Bumble BFF was the first hope. Match with someone, chat for a bit, exchange numbers, plan to meet up. Easy, right?
Except it felt like dating. Match, exchange one message, get ghosted. Match again, exchange three messages, get ghosted. Pay for premium thinking it'll fix it. Get ghosted with better matches now.
The ones who really wanted friends actually made the first move. Sent that first message. Tried to plan a hangout. Got ghosted. Tried to plan a hangout. Got ghosted. Tried one more time. Got ghosted.
Then we tried Meetup. And it was like being thrown into a crowded room with 47 strangers and being expected to figure it out. You walked in alone. You stood there awkwardly holding your free drink. You had to be the first one to introduce yourself. You left with nothing but a new layer of social anxiety.
We say we want new friends. But we don't want to do any of the work. As if new friends are just supposed to magically appear in front of us.
KrewQuest is a friendship app remixed.
The main idea? Work on yourself. Find friends along the way.
If you're working on that Hot Girl Summer body (like our founder), Krew will match you with others who want to glow up too. People who work out at the gym. People who go on hikes to move their body. People who do hot yoga to sweat it out. Activities that help you actually hit your goals, turned into side quests with a new friend.
If you're working on something else, building your career, getting back into reading, learning a new hobby, healing from something, exploring your city, Krew matches you with people on similar paths.
Your goal is the main quest. Friends happen on the side.
You sign up. Free. Takes about 5 minutes.
You tell us a bit about yourself.
You set your main mission, so we know what you're actually working on.
Then you can either create a side quest for yourself, OR share it with a new friend and meet someone that way. The new friend will be on the same path or looking to do the same activity. We match based on shared interests, hobbies, and mission.
We suggest a spot for you both to meet.
We even send that first intro message, so neither of you has to figure out if you vibe. Neither of you has to be the brave one. Nobody has to feel weird about it.
You just show up. And bond with your new friend.
The reason most adult friendships never start isn't because we don't like each other. It's because nobody wants to do the awkward part.
Nobody wants to text first. Nobody wants to pick the place. Nobody wants to be the one who suggests something only to hear "oh sorry maybe next week."
It's tiny. But it's enough to kill a friendship before it begins.
So we took that part out. We did it for you. So the only thing you have to do is the easy part, show up and be yourself.
Honestly? We built it for us. For anyone who keeps saying "i wish i had a friend" and doesn't know how to make that happen.
For the woman who just moved to a new city and doesn't know anyone yet.
For the woman who got out of a long relationship and realized she lost track of her friend group along the way.
For the mom who loves her kids but misses having someone to text "wanna grab lunch this weekend?"
For the introvert who wants friends but is exhausted by the work of FINDING them.
For the extrovert who has lots of acquaintances but no one she'd actually call at 9pm on a tuesday.
For anyone who walked out of 2020 and forgot how to be the one who says hi first.
If any of that is you, KrewQuest is for you.
We're free. krewquest.com.
Sign up. Tell us your mission. Let us match you.
Your bestie is out there. She also wants to hang out this weekend and do the same thing.
We'll do the awkward part for both of you 💜
